A home grown collaboration with Island Strong, L.T.T.S is a sessionable IPA with a mild malt backbone and citrus forward hop flavor and aromoa. The medium hop spice and bitterness with lemon, orange, and grapefruit notes are imparted from the additions of NY Chinook hops and Long Island Tahoma hops from Route 27 Hop Yard. Drink only good Beer; don't blend in.... stand out.

A: The beer is rather hazy and a bit pale amber yellow in color. It poured with a half finger high white head that died down but never completely faded away.
S: Light aromas of herbal hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has light to moderate flavors of herbal hops along with underlying hints of caramel malts. There is just a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied and slightly "chewy" on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. It is very easy to drink.
O: This IPA isn't really that bitter and seems like it could be more like an English IPA than an American IPA.

I discovered this place with my buddy Fred while visiting my former environs on the island last summer. I am fairly certain this was what I drank before we went across the street to the Meetball Place. Anyhoo, found this can at Bullseye in Smithtown last week and it brought back solid memories. Unlike a lot of low abv examples of the style, this looks like a proper IPA, with a dark copper color, and long lasting wet head. The nose is fresh and citrus but mostly muted.
This is a little malt assertive for an IPA, at least a session ale. Herbal and medicinal hops are midlining throughout but at times (especially the aftertaste) get topped by a grainy pizza crust/sourdough note. Kind of tasty, and a little funky. Just different enough to be interesting. Maybe more of an English IPA in that regard.
