Part of a 6 beer sampler

Very few beers seem to have the specific color that this beer pours. It's a pale orange and it's superclear. Minimal head due to sample size. The beer is a pleasant caramel smell. From start to finish, you get a mellow but assertive sweet caramel taste that goes up and down and all over your mouth. There is minimal hop presence, but apparently enough, because the caramel does not leave you with a sticky sweet feeling in your mouth. The brew is medium bodied and tastes really really clean, which makes sense since it's a lager. I like this one alot. I think it does a much better job than, say, the Gordon Biersh marzen
