This thing was banana cream pie to me. Fluffy carb. Really tasty, though the sweetness may not be for some, nor allow for extended drinking, but on a warm, Southern California day, it worked just dandy for me.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pretty good American take on a German Hefeweizen. Had it on tap at the Sea Salt restaurant in Torrey Pines CA. Pours a hazy gold color, a little darker than the traditional straw color. Small white head (due to the dreaded frosted glass). Some lacing and less than average head retention. Aroma includes the usual, cloves, bananas, wheat bitterness and cardemom. The aroma is not as strong as the best hefes, but still true to style. Taste is a bit less astringent and strong as the good German here's but still true to style and quite tasty. Mouthfeel is rich enough, with nice wheat bitterness and a touch of astringency. I enjoyed it, great with food.
