This is described as a "sour blonde aged with cherries." The color is a beautiful pinkish amber, on the hazy side, with plenty of foam in the pint glass. On tap at Mitch's Seafood in Point Loma.
Quite sharp with a distinct woody taste. Malty but overlaid with the acidic tang. The cherry flavor comes through the tangy funk and lingers in the nose.
After scoffing at a lot of sours lately, I find this one highly drinkable and flavorful. I hope the Karl Strauss scoffers will try this one. It's a good example of the world of interesting sour brews outside the vinegar bombs.

Clear champagne-rose colored, pleasant puckering vinegar sourness with vineal hints.

On tap at Slater's 50/50 Rancho Cucamonga on 12/18/15.
I'll preface this review by stating that wild ales are not my favorite style but, I have enjoyed many of which I (and many contributers to this very website) consider to be world class sours. Having said that, my initial reaction to this effort is: pickle juice beer.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
