Copper-tan appearance, as a huge fluffy head paints the glass with lacing
Pungent, dank bouquet, aggressive and piney, with edges of grainy crackers to balance.
Just as aggressive on the palate, although the beer's malt-backbone is more prevalent here. Quite floral with citrus nuances, as notes of orange rind, lemon-pepper and grassy earth layer the hop-profile. Honeyed multigrain bread helps to contrast the hop onslaught, but by the end of the sip, bitter, resiny hop residuals linger.
A full-bodied, oily complexion works to reinforce the brew's bold flavors.
This is a great example of a dank, West Coast style beer local brewers aim for. Tasty and dangerously easy to drink for such a hoppy brew.
