Consumed 05/02/08.
Clear medium copper color, nice lacing.
Sweet, malty caramel aroma.
Very sweet and malty, almost cloying. Banana and coriander on the palate. Excessive parching on tongue interferes with flavor. Finish is fairly clean. Could have used some peppery spiciness on finish, I think, and certainly a lot less dryness.
Has little in common with a "real" saison, but not undrinkable.

found this little baby ona one time brewers special at the karl strauss at universal city in california, good belgim style farmhouse ale, a light belgium with high alc content, very fruity, there is a high citrus taste. the bartender said it was too sweet but I thought it was pretty good true to what one of those belgium farmhouse summer ales should tatse.
