Consumed February 10, 2012 at Karl Strauss, Universal City.

This beer is a very clear light golden hue with minimal white head.

Aroma is slightly sweet and has notes of white pepper and banana.

Flavor has notes of coriander, white pepper, ginger, banana and clove. Moderately bitter on the finish. Kind of light on the malt, as in I didn't taste any. Not sweet or fruity as one would expect a proper Tripel, but not offensive.

Dry at the end but otherwise unremarkable mouthfeel.

Perfectly agreeable though not a stylistic bulls-eye.

Golden orange and yellow with a thin white head.

Lots of Belgian yeast, sweet sugar, and banana in the aroma. Appropriate per the style.

Sweet and a touch syrupy, lots of banana flavors, a bit of citrus, as well as a mild tang from the Belgian yeast.

Too thin and a bit oily for the style.

A decent enough stab at the style, though I won't be revisiting this beer.

A - Poured a light copper color with a white head that leaves lacing behind

S - Is of sweet malt and fruits

T - Is pretty good it follows the nose sweet malt with a fruity flavor

M - This beer has a medium body with medium carbonation to it

D - Overall this was one of the better beers at Karl Strauss that I enjoyed quite a bit and could drink a few of these worth trying
