This is the most successful low-alcohol IPA I've ever tried. Currently the lowest ABV Karl Strauss brews, with fewer calories than most "light" American adjunct lagers. Not labeled session IPA, but rather hazy IPA. I've definitely had better hazy IPAs, but no better session IPA. This is totally acceptable on a hot afternoon or anytime. Surprisingly robust mouth feel, lemony aroma perhaps from Citra hops, and moderately bitter aftertaste.
