A: The pour is a golden amber color with a short lived white head.
S: A lightly sweet nose with plenty of bread. The hops are fairly grassy and "green".
T: The flavor is somewhat light with bread, light molasses, and a bit of sweetness. Again, a very grassy and wild/green hop flavor. I just can't quite find a better way to describe it, but it's just odd.
M: The body is medium with a low carbonation that I'm not sure is from the growler or just the way the beer is...
D: Karl Strauss usually makes some good beers, but this is not one of them. Wouldn't bother with this one.

On-tap at Karl Strauss' Sorrento Valley location.
A rotating/seasonal beer first on-tap May 2010.
Pours a clear amber color with some visible carbonation. Barely any head (could have just been the pour), but there is some film. Mild malty aroma with some hints of spices and grains or grasses. Nice flavor - a bit on the sweet side, but still plenty of hops and the spicy notes are right on. Light- to medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. A really solid offering here from Karl Strauss. I'm glad they still had this on tap as it is one of their better beers on tap. Easy to drink and tastes nice too!
