Attractive golden amber brew with abundant foam in the snifter. Taking a sniff, it does smell like tangerine and cut grapefruit. Sudsy mouthfeel but very sharp and verging on astringent. This is really bitter, like grapefruit pith. Some pleasant citrus flavors and a touch of sweetness but just too much peel and pith to be drinkable. From the 16 oz can purchased at the big box wine store.

Pours a cloudy golden orange with a finger of foamy head that slowly dissipates to a thin ring with some lacing. Aroma of tangerine and pine resin. Taste follows nose.

Taking the West Coast IPA to the deep end of citrus side of the pool, Karl Strauss takes the tried-and-true bitter and drier IPA and juices it up with copious amounts of tangerine for beer that splits the difference between IPA and juice box.

Laid out beautifully with a golden orange brightness, Tangible IPA streams ribbons of carbonation to fuel a cottony white cap. Its radiant and citrusy perfume hits the nose with the gravity of citronealla, freshly grated orange and a backdrop of verbena and fragrant sassafras. It's first sip lays a firm foundation of malt with impressions of caramel, fructose and agave in a sweeter upstart.

The hoppy ale soon overshadows any malt support with a burst of branch-ripe tangerine backed by red grapefruit, orange peel and a pep of pineapple. Juicy, vibrant and freshly squeezed in its nature, the beer eventually makes a turn toward bitterness with a strong piney spice with peppery grasses, suggestions of hemp and sun tea.

Where the orange flavors remain front and center, the finish comes with a strong perfume of citrus oils and peels in a long, thirst quenching, refreshing aftertaste.

Golden semi-clear with white bubble head and okay retention.
Not surprised by forward fruity notes here.
Orange rind and pine notes, also grapefruit bitterness.
Okay carbonation here with a long finish.
If you like bitter you will surely enjoy this fine offering.
