Big oak in the nose. Medium body. Not much of an Abbey style but an interesting beer, whatever it is. Cherry fruit, malt, a good dose of sweetness. Very fragrant. Tart along with the sweetness. Overall, a spicy but mellow quaff. A touch of apricots and cola. Not so much head but nice lacing. Flavorful strong ale that is a nice change from the usual brewpub styles.
