Pours dense, dark black with a dark copper, thin head. An immediate smell of bourbon hits the nose when opened, followed by chocolate and a faint bit of roasted malt. Tasting reveals a moderate mouthfeel of roasted malt, bourbon and chocolate. Nicely done.

12oz can, painted label. Bottom date stamp is '11-05-24 NOW WITH MORE BIRD'. Label has the the identifier of 'XXIV'.
Black colored body, with a very thin mahogany back lit edge. One finger tan colored head, which persists as a large island and higher ring. This large island follows the body down to the bottom of the glass. Leaves behind thin webs of lacing. Thicker residue left at the bottom of the glass.
Aroma of dark roasted caramel malts, vanilla, and bourbon barrel.
Taste is moderately sweet. Flavors of dark roasted caramel malts, dark chocolate, bourbon barrel, vanilla, oak, and some dark fruit (plum and date). Some late hints of coffee, and this continues into the aftertaste with the dark chocolate, vanilla, and dark fruit. Not overly bitter.
More than medium mouthfeel. Thick in the mouth, almost chalky at the end of each sip. Somewhat drying finish, probably due to the higher ABV%, which does not burn but does bring forth vapors. Quiet but appropriate carbonation.
Shows only a very slight oxidation, which is a good indicator to drink now rather than later. Tasty dark chocolate flavor amidst the bourbon barrel overlay.
