This beer pours a nice black stout on draft, and overall is pretty nice, but disjointed. It doesnt come together well at all and has a bumpy feel the whole way down. Smells nice of malt and light coffee, but as you drink it the flavors do not meld and it reminds me of what pouring a stout into a deep english bitter might be like. Overall ok, but not stellar

In the mood to stock up on a big stout, I decided to try out my new growler with a fill of this, after trying a favorable sample of it first.
Fairly dark pour/ deep brownish, creamy-looking ring of head. Appears rich.
Very roasted smell to it, coffee, malt and burnt oats. A hint of booze.
Tastes of a bitter, biting toasted malt, coffee flavor, maybe a hint of bitter cocoa.
Even though the beer lives up to it's name in the sense that it's a bit abrasive with the flavor, the feel on this is so smooth, creamy and chewy, it makes for delicious sipping nonetheless.
A hearty oatmeal stout.
