A complex layered English porter with notes of both milk and dark chocolate from the use of multiple roasted malts. Finished with double folded pure Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla.

On nitro. Poured an opaque, jet-black color with a large, pillowy off-white head of foam. It smelled strongly of vanilla and chocolate. Sweet chocolate, mild vanilla taste with a touch of roasted malt.

Ordered this beer at the brewery, it was served in a nonic pint glass
The appearance of the beer is about what you would expect of an English porter; very dark brown, but not quite black with a creamy tan head that lasted for quite a while.
The aroma is somewhat sweet; with lots of chocolate, and vanilla dominating the nose. There are some notes of hazelnut that start to develop as the beer warms and opens up a bit. The flavor very much follows suit; chocolate and vanilla with just hints of caramel lingering in the background. The body is full and silky, it almost has the mouthfeel of being on nitro.
Overall this is quite a good beer, and at only 5% I could drink this all night.
