October 2nd, 2016 - A meaty meal in a cup! King Rufus is the potentate of the sampler row, with a nose that speaks to an outdoor BBQ pit. Charcoal, meat and a light smokiness rouse the appetite for ribs and pulled pork to match the flavor profile. That's why it surprised me that the body is a bit lighter, but I remind myself this is a porter, not a stout. Once corrected, I take this as an effective delivery device for some low-and-slow flavors.
