NiceThe staff was helpful and friendly. 12 taps. A decent variety of offerings and a food truck serving tasty Mexican food. Dog friendly. Brand new canning line being fired up so more to-go options now.

Helix Brewing is located in an industrial area of La Mesa. There was a nice patio area between two buildings used by the brewery. It was nice to unwind and listen to some live music. There was two buildings, one the main brewery and other their sour operation, Sourworx.

I didn't get a chance to check out Sourworx during this visit, but the main brewery was nice. Not too big. There was a bar area and some seating inside. I had a pale ale that was refreshing after a long day driving from Los Angeles, visiting the Midway, and hitting balls at a range in preparation for a round of golf the next day.

Next time, I'll visit Sourworx and try their sours. Enjoyable visit!

Blaise, run of the mill. Proving that even San Diego has some meh breweries. Nothing stands out with any of their beers. It's a nice enough taproom, but the problem is the taproom itself is far more memorable than the beer.
