First from brewer, big fan of NJ barrier island fun.
a) Big frothy head, with last and lace. beach beer, orange body.
s) Nose starts tangerine, orange citrus with pine, floral, herbs, melon, mint.
t) Follow aroma but too tame.
f) Frothy, beachy, sudsy.
o) Original, getting my hopes up.

Huge, frothy head, close to filling half the pint glass, orange-tinted tan foam, mottled surface, retention is good or maybe a factor of where it started, no streaks but large quantity of tiny splotches all over. The liquid color a dark copper orange with no noticeable diminishment at the edges, at first you’d think there were no bubbles at all but up close you seem rivulets of microscope bubbles of good activity. Juicy nose filled with tangerine, Mineola orange citrus and lesser pink grapefruit, pine, floral dew and mint keep it fresh, without getting too concentrated there’s a strong tropical feel to the guava, mango, pineapple to nectarine fruit scents, almost devoid of any grassiness never mind funkiness, almost innocent in its youthful freshness. In the mouth it’s light to medium-bodied yet with a pleasing sappy grip. Follows the same script here, loaded with tangerine, lime, grapefruit citrus and goes heavier on the caramel, toffee element. Smooth and creamy, as it hits the mid-palate and beyond the pine and cracked pepper notes lend bite. Arguably hoppy too but relative to most IPAs this is lowgrade hoppiness. Peach, pineapple, guava fruit. Want to give them credit for making a smooth, easy drinking IPA in the face of the prevailing “this one goes to eleven” mindset for the category.

On tap in an Imperial pint glass.
Nice looking dark and clear golden copper color with a modest white cap. Some spot and wave lacing.
Sweet malt and tropical fruit aromas. A subtle whiff of pine. There's evidence of mineral effect.
Caramelized malt and tropical fruit. Sugar. Metallic mineral flavor finishes.
Sturdy malt body, full feel. That's good, but there's no hop bite nor escaping the mineral aftertaste.
The good looking start sinks quickly. Even the sturdy body is not enough to carry the brew. There's too much weakness in flavor and aroma.

Really wanted to like this one as it is in my back yard and canned 3/22/18, unfortunately it was one of the least satisfying beers I've had all year.
Poured into a 8oz snifter.
Look: Translucent copper/earthy orange with a short lived half inch of head.
Smell: Surprising brett/funk.
Taste/feel: Hints at sweet and subsequently attempts at piney but turns metallic fast leaving the pallet with a long lasting acrid/detergent coat.
Verdict: Unfortunately, I drank this after Lawsons - Super Session #8 which cost less. Succession could have biased this review slightly. Was the cleaner not flushed out of the tanks? The beers i've had at Cypress were far superior, don't know what happened here.

On tap at Morris Tap and Grill. Pours a copper ruddy hue with minimal frothing. Mellow aroma replete with hints of citrus and grapefruit. Similar overall flavor profile.

Local Edison NJ. Purchased total wine river edge NJ.
Look: looks like a beer . OK, OK looks like an IPA
Smell: Hop right off the bat, citrus, pine straight up IPA aroma.
Feel: UMM PRIVATE !
Taste: straight up IPA taste. not a hop bomb IMHOpinion, but close. If they double dry hopped this then it would be a “hop bomb”
Overall:
The 7.5% gives the alcohol “OMPHhhh” you want and at over 100 IBU’s. The hop taste you want.
Great local brew from Edison NJ.
I would get again no problem.
Another NJ brewery brewing great beer.
Drinking good beer local “rocks”
And thats my review.

Nice little brewery located in Raritan Center - behind Middlesex County College. A buddy and I went on Wednesday b3 T-giving - got a sampler and 17 mile was the best. Not a bomb, but good flavor and color. $14 for a 4 pack of cans - growlers also!
