DATE: December 7, 2019... OCCASION: watching another Star Wars with the boys... GLASSWARE: Victory nonick... this one stood out to me with its low ABV and promise of high flavor... its appearance, however, is status quo brown, a velvet-red glow at its base and a thin,off-white head sits atop its opaqueness.... incidentally, the second can's head is much more of a looker, robust and lacing attractively.... first aroma breaks with vanilla and coffee bean--sweet, not really roasted--before the chocolate (approximating pudding or tootsie roll) and lactose to approximate a milk stout... but, then, the unmistakable bready malts send this into a balanced stance... its mouthfeel is thin with the texture of fizzy cola, lively and worthwhile... highly drinkable and welcoming the next sip... and each sip brings vanilla, cola, berry, light coffee bean, dessert-like lactic cream, and a bit of bread malt... this is a decent nightcap, leaving space for another, stronger drink in its wake...
