Solid black appearance.
Light carbonation with and above average body,a bit of a thick creamy feel.
Aroma isdark bakers chocolate, a little milk chocolate, roasted malt and black coffee.
Taste has a very slight sweetness yet there is a dry bitterness as well. Dark roasted coffee, bitter bakers dark chocolate dry bitter espresso
Hope this will be made again as this was an excellent beer.

Picked this up recently at the Cloverleaf after not being there in ages! Haven't had an Easter-themed beer in ages (if ever) and thankfully, I was able to get a single can of this up there to help welcome spring in. Sure enough, this was a beast as it was a true Imperial Porter but it was plenty flavorful and got better and better as it fully warmed up!
No surprise that this poured dark like coffee, but not quite as thin. A massive, mocha head that tasted like soft chocolate topped it off as it was soft as could be and topped off with plenty of big bubbles that worked their way to the top. Not a lot of lacing was left behind as I worked my way through this as there were arching hints of rings that stayed behind after every succulent sip. Lots of cacao nibs and bitter chocolate in the nose as cocoa powder, plum and prune, bitter coffee, dark bread, and a hint of bourbon barrel-stickiness emerged in the taste once this fully warmed up. Slick, rich, and strong, this was a Porter that deserved to be a Porter but equally tasted and felt like a Stout - if that makes any sense.
Plenty of booze here and although I couldn't taste it, I could easily feel it as it was on par with the coffee, caramel, chocolate, and fruit from start to finish. Canned 3/30 with "HERE COMES PETER COTTONTAIL" written below it, this was a full beer with a bit of powdery grittiness to it that ultimately reminded me that this was indeed, a Porter at heart. Sticky on my lips and chocolatey in essence, this felt like a Cadbury Creme Egg that could somehow be hopped and fermented. You might not see any rabbits while drinking this, but not many brews will be better at putting you in the Easter, and ultimately, spring spirit. Nice job with this one!
