9 oz. pour at the brewery. Served in a snulip glass. It pours a deep mahogany with cola hues. There was virtually no head or lacing. The nose is whiskey-forward with earthy aromas of dark chocolate, caramel, and fresh coffee. Initially, the effect of whiskey barrel aging dominates the taste although it mellows a bit as the stout breathes. The coffee notes are acidic and the overall taste surprisingly sour (I don't know which whiskey barrels were used). It's quite boozy. The mouth feel is rather thin for an Imperial Stout. Overall, I expected more sweetness. But that could just be me as other patrons seemed to enjoy it and many crowlers were being filled.
