I had this one on tap at the York Street Pub in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Poured a deep red, had almost no head and very little carbonation. A big malty and phenolic nose woke up the senses. The malt drove the flavor, reminding me of Aventinus, flavor continued the malt dominance until a quick and dry finish. I was impressed with this beer.

Denmark Brewing Company Dunkles Weissbeer: In a thick brown 22 oz bomber bottle. Pours a murky brown, particularly when you've swirled up the yeast from the bottom. Not much head, and it had sort of a gray hue to it. The aroma is sweet banana and cloves. The taste is indeed sweet, very malty with a nice yeasty flavor as well. Very nice flavor, long lasting sweet/malty aftertaste. Nice, although a bit high on carbonation.
