First of all, I will admit that I am not the biggest fan in the world of dubbels. This is one of those that makes you remember why you don't like a certain style. The body is light, peachy copper that seems way too light for a dubbel. Right from the start I can tell this is a confused step-child that isn't sure if it is a dubbel or a triple. The aroma was filled with fresh hop pellet smell, but not really a good smell for this beer. The taste was filled with a vanilla, and pepper fruitiness, but the finish was soapy tasting. This beer was strangely bad because it seemed to be such a hybrid of beers. Now, I am sure that dubbel loves may find a glimmer of hope in this beer, but I will choose not to try it again. I guess for the price, this is a wonderful small WI brewery, but they just don't have it all together yet. The Isgood Stout was nothing to write home about either.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
