Ahhh Bloom, an oldie but a goodie! Almost a single hop Mosaic IPA... just a hint of Columbus here and there providing a sounding board for your palate to party on. Don't be surprised to find bitterness here, even a tiny touch of clarity and a dry finish!

Copenhagen 25/8 2021. 44 cl can from Ølkassen web-shop. As Verdant Doom. A very green label where the o's in Doom is substituted by Hop cones.
Pours unclear - almost hazy - golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with sweet, fermented odor of tropical fruits mingling with a sharp scent of citrus fruits. Papaya and passion fruit. Fermented decay. Grapefruit and lime.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft yet lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is fairly dry.
Indian Pale Ale with a sweet fermented touch.

440ml can. An almost clear, tropical fruit & citrus, mildly resinous, nicely herbal, oily, gently bitter, highly drinkable for 6.5% (standard ABV for the USA, kind of high for the UK), West Coast-style AIPA from Cornwall, England.
An oldie from Verdant. And a goodie.

On tap at Warpigs in Copenhagen.
Pours an unclear orange with fine, soft foam.
Smell is tropical and juicy with a piney backbone.
Taste is a ton of citrus with some tropical notes, and a substantial but soft bitterness. Really nice lingering hop bite.
Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation.
Overall, a very nice, well balanced IPA, sort of halfway between an English and a West Coast.

A 330ml can with a BB of July 2017 (canned Jan 2017). Acquired a little while back from a webshop. The label describes it as an IPA hopped with Mosaic and Columbus.
A: Poured into an IPA glass. Can conditioned. A rich, hazy golden-amber hue with fine sediment and intense carbonation. Produces a vast head of creamy white foam that looks like meringue; this slowly reduces to a persistent surface layer. Nice lacing.
S: Aroma of overwhelmingly raw and juicy hops - notes of berries, mild tropical fruit, melon, grape, hay, leafiness, earthy yeast and subtle caramel malt. Supremely hoppy yet possesses a vegetal undertone; almost oniony in character. Impressively excessive.
T: Tastes of intensely aromatic hops with notes of juicy melon, grape, subtle tropical fruit, berries, hay, leafy hints, earthy yeast and mild caramel malt. A strident, hop-driven bitterness upon swallowing. The hop character seems green and coarse.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with prickly carbonation and decent body. Astringent hop oils dry the palate. Body a tad thin for the style. Aftertaste of seriously aromatic hops, dry bitterness and mild earthy yeast.
O: A major blast of hops straight to the senses. Looks fantastic, while the aroma is amazing. The flavour is somewhat less balanced, with the intense hops drowning out the malt and verging on harsh. Body is alright but could be thicker. A very impressive brew but not entirely flawless. That said, if you love hops this is well worth sampling.

330ml Can from Brewdog.com (£2.45):
This one was an excellent beer from Verdant and very enjoyable from the start thanks to the abundance of hops and tropical fruits that featured and gave the beer a very West Coast feel with some nice citrus flavours in there too. The balance of the beer appeared to be a good one and it came through quite fresh and lively too which made it very easy to drink and the addition of some sweeter type malts and biscuit flavours nearer the end were a nice touch too; definitely a beer that I'd have again.

Hazy golden color with frothy off-white head. Aroma has some juicy fruit notes with some chive dankness on top. Taste starts also with juicy fruits like tangerines and peaches, continues with herbal hop notes and a light grapefruit bitterness on the finish. Medium body, carbonation is on the lower side making the beer really easy to drink. It's a really enjoyable IPA with a modern hop profile.

Hazy dark amber with steady sandstone cap with legs. 4
Resin, overripe orange, and pine forest floor. 4
Hit of cakey malts then tangerine juice, pine needle, summer berry, honeydew and lime sorbet. Fruity linger. 4.25
Low fizz, almost medium, oily. 4
Columbus, Magnum, Mosaic
That’s more like it: what fails at Lightbulb’s strength - the dank, unfiltered, oily-more-than-juicy thing - is working here. Mosaic seems to be doing its usual chameleon trick of adding all the fruits, to good effect. Not quite NE - no body softeners in the malt bill - but I’ve drank a lot of beers like this in Portland and Seattle in the past 6 months. 4
