We're huge fans of Jon Hopkins and his amazing music. This recipe is based on the track Jon wrote called 'Light Through The Veins'. He was struggling with a creative block at the time and managed to release it by way of restrictions and limits...in this case, basing the music around the number 9. As an ode and a riff, the recipe for this beer is all 9s or divisibles thereof! Let this mega hopped-up banger light up your veins...PARTY!

Pours a hazy yellow with thick, fuffy head.
Smell is juicy and a bit sweet and peppery. Notes of citrus, pineapple, grapes, gooseberries and white pepper.
Taste is juicy and intense. Peppery with notes of citrus, gooseberries, grapes, white pepper, mango and melon. Soft but clear bitterness and some hints of booze and hop burn.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft, pillowy and well carbonated.
Overall, a fantastic DIPA showcasing the NZ hops very well.

Cloudy dirty gold color. Solid starting head which fades slowly. Starts with some minor spots for lace.
Bitter hop nose with some notable alcohol warmth.
Smooth and oily feel and taste. Fits the style well with lots of booze and a decent hop bitter bite.
