Our most decadent Imperial Stout to date! Incredible heavy roast flavours and deep fruity caramels. One to savour. Zero adjuncts, an experiment in boundary-pushing and a true homage to dark malts.
The Lighting of the Mock is also the first release of our new series of beers which will fall under the banner of Brewing Folk. This project was created to celebrate the traditions and folklore of Cornwall and beyond. It will be running throughout 2023 as we aim to celebrate all the changing seasons.
Malts: Golden Promise, Dark Munich, Oats, Chocolate Wheat, Chocolate Malt, Special B, Crystal 150, Dark Crystal, Roasted Barley

Very dark brown pour, little head retention. Smell is roasty, somewhat burnt. More on chocolate and coffee. Taste is nice, though a little to burnt. Lasting impression is of burnt wood, a little to much for me. Feel is ok, a bit too carbonated for me. Overral a nice stout, a little imbalanced. Too much roasty bitter character to be very nice.
