Having offered a selection of Bavarian hells to a chum he came back and said this was by far his favourite.
So I have revisited...
Look: Standard golden pale for a helles.
Smell: biscuitty, yeasty. Quite appetising, not exceptional though.
Taste: Almost hints of a wheat beer, quite dry, maybe a little chalk in there, but not in a bad way. Very slightly metallic on the first few sips, but this went away. Wasn't at all metallic on the other bottles I had before, maybe a one-off
Feel: Pretty good. Quite full not thin as some helles.
This is a pretty good beer, and one that would slip down in quantity on a summers day. Enough flavours in there to be a bit more interesting than many helles.
The bottles have changed shape and had a new simplified look re-branding in the last few months, I suspect to pick up on the growing fashion for helles, certainly in northern europe. Beer still the same though - and I'd recommend it in the helles style as something with a bit of character to it.

Straw filtered with 4 fingers of fluffy white head, and lots of soda like carbonation.
Smells malty, of biscuit, children's aspirin, and a hint of dried hay.
Very malt forward, hints of aspirin, biscuit, and green hay. Taste of melted ice in a lager beer, though I added nothing.
Light body, moderate to high carbonation. Slightly watery feel.
Nice, crisp and refreshing brew, true to form, just a slight lack in taste by the ice water quality. Got in Chiang Mai, drank here Jan 12, 2016.
