deep golden body, brilliant, no bubbles visible but a beautiful off-white shaving cream foam. beautiful
a fine aroma of sourdough bread rind with noble hop spicyness. very well balanced
Tastewise the noble hops seem to dominate the toasty malts especially when lingering on the palate towards the end, hoppy rather than bitter, a little sweetness from the malts as well.
Carbonation is very mild for a lager making it more warming than crisp. Good choice for a Christmas beer.
Another very fine Export from Bavaria that is marketed as a Christmas (or Advent) beer. This one delivers just the right amount of toasted malts, noble hops and carbonation to make this a great combination. everything is very subtle and could be eassily missed in a flight of IPAs and Stouts. Therefore, pour a half litre and give it time
