Pours a very dark, rich brown, almost black. The head dissipates quickly. The smell is rich roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, and a hint of ginger spice. The taste is remarkably smooth with great carbonation. It's crisp with a burnt-bitterness and a distinct ginger taste that is mellow. Not much jalapeno taste, but it could just be complimenting the ginger. Very great twist on the traditional porter!
Definitely one to scoop-up if you can!

An unusual spicy porter that is well worth trying. Well done to Blackstairs Brewing for reaching out with something different.
