My wife and I stopped here during our weekend pub crawl to try their beers and to have a light lunch. The pub is located in a storefront setting that fronts on the main street through the downtown area. There is a free city parking lot at the rear. This is still a relatively-new brewery and the BA reviews have been mixed, so we didn't know what to expect. We were well pleased with what we experienced.
The vibe here is very nice. A long L-shaped bar is to the left after coming in the front door, and there is plenty of seating at the bar or several bar tables. Another bar divides the space from the dining area. The place was not busy on a Saturday at noon, so we chose seats at the bar. There were 15 beers plus two guest ciders on tap, plus a cask offering. We decided on ordering two 4-glass sampler flights so that we could evaluate their beers. Each of them was brewed very well to style which mystified me why earlier ratings were a bit low. A server who was standing close by commented that the beers were not very good when the place first opened, but much improved now. I agree. We gave an overall B-grade to the beers that we sampled. I love barrel-aged beers and the two beers that were exceptional were the Bourbon Chocolate Shake stout and the Rust Bucket barleywine. Also notable were the Himalayan Gose and the Oktoberfest Lager.
We shared an appetizer for our lunch, and it was delicious. The menu had a nice selection, so I'm guessing that the food here is just as good as the beers. A couple of their beers are available in bombers to go, including the Bourbon Chocolate Shake stout. Growlers and howlers are also available for beer to go. The pub also offers 6 wines made at Fenn Valley for the non-beer drinkers. This brewpub is a must-visit if you are in the area (or are willing to take a moderate detour because this tiny town is off the main highways).

This is a new looking stop off near the Muskegon river in MI. We stopped off after a fun day tubing on the river. The service I couldn't fault - our servers did a good job. In terms of beer selection - they had a couple cask offerings and then a few different IPAs, English style ales and stouts. One of our group sent their beer back and it was swapped out for another choice. My hazelnut cask stout was okay. Had some of their pizza which was fairly reasonable. Sort of a quieter, small town vibe but I hope they do well here and push along with making solid beers.
