A- Straw yellow, almost clear. Head didn’t last long and was notably thin.
S- Light malt and light honey caramel on the nose.
T- Heavily carbonated, which I did not notice when judging appearance. Assuming this is supposed to be a hefeweisen, it might fit the standards. Weakly. It;' far too watery to be a real wheat beer. Slight citrus, clean finish. Like a maltier version of a Bud. Boring.

totally clear, nice, billowy head.
smell is.... geez. nice, but not a hefeweizen as BA calls it.
taste...light, crisp. pilsner-y. NOT a hefeweisse. is it?
mouthfeel.... carbonation, medium body.
overall... excellent! really wanted to get more info from their site, but it was all in german. imagine that. i prefer the higher abv brews, and this one perturbs me at 4.9, but it tastes great and i suppose this is what they all are referring to when they suggest 'pairing' up with food. screw it- iwanna buzz. with food. good buzz first, THEN food. in fact i have about 3 racks of st louis ribs, tri tip and brisket all waiting for AFTER i get that buzz. so, forget the food. i dont need to 'pair' my beer with ANYTHING. so, get me some really good beer (this qualifies), a good buzz, and then i'll eat. but let's identify this particular brew as 'worthy' first... why is there NO REVIEWS, though, since 2009? it's not that difficult to find....

So I discovered this brew in a local getrankmarkt, I have never seen nor heard of this brew before, so figured Id give it a shot, and for my 240 review, a bier I know nothing about.
Pours a really nice deep golden orange color, deep murkiness make it impossible to see through the brew. Another big point of this bier is the fantastic head it produces, rocky, full, and lasts a long time. Perfect looking Hefe.
As soon as I poured it out, the aromatics began to fill the room. Thi is one great smelling wheat beer. Full bodied creamy wheat roundess, a long clementine-citrus aroma, tart peppery yeast, sweet malts, a really intruging musty "cave aged" like aroma that is really deep. Fresh bright summery grain aromas cut through the mustiness and compliment it at the same time. It reminds me of some of the really funky Belgian biers that smell like you are in a cave and a small breath of fresh air wafts through.
Flavor is unlike any Hefeweizen I've ever had. Spicy fresh black pepper upfront, citru, tangerine, spicy yeast, lemon, a light bready undertone, light fresh grassiness. Subsequent drinks add a fresh really peppery yeast flavor, bright carbonation. This brew really recalls a BSPA in its flavor. Instead of the overall wheaty creaminess with sweet fruit flavor, this brew is peppery, brightly carbonated and has a really unique flavor profile.
I really like this brew, the bright refreshing flavor make this a great summery brew, yet the chest warming spiciness and citrus flavor make me look foward to drinking this all fall/winter long. I will purchase this again, and as it seems to be quite obscure, get it if you can.

Had this in a pub in the czech republic. very good carbonation and great color. The smell was a bit dry as the taste, which was a little off putting for a weisse. In general a good refreshing beer that I would have liked to try in Germany instead. Would recommend.

Had on tap in the beer carousel during the Festa di Natale at Piazza Santa Croce in Florence, Italy. They managed to create a fun German Christmas village right in the heart of Florence, having some amazing german biers on tap. This beer just looked gorgeous. Beautiful golden color, perfectly carbonated, with a frothy white head. Nice lacing that remains throughout the entire beer. Smells of yeast, bready malts, and hints of fruit. Citrusy, bready taste. Pronounced yeast balances the malts perfectly. Slight hints of apple to the taste. This hefe weizen is in my humble opinion, the pinnacle of the style. I've never tasted a better one. Odd that they were serving this at Christmas time, but it fit the moment perfectly. If you should ever come across this beer, give it a taste, you will be pleasantly surprised!
