Another offering that comes across as just a bit sweet, but in a style that gives a little leeway in that department.
This one hits the raisin/date/cane syrup notes in both the nose and taste. The barrel adds just a light vanilla and the alcohol might be what brings that little bit of a spice note. The depth is lacking just a tad, though, in the taste.
A second beer from this brewery I feel could use a little tightening up and a little more attenuation, but it hit the spot with smoothness (if missing that depth).
