Anthesis 2025 is the first of the beers honoring the equinoxes and solstices this year. The beer pours clear with a rich deep amber color topped by a full white head. The aroma is sweet and citrusy like candied citrus rinds. A solid addition of woody pine fills out the aroma. The first sip is clean, subtle malt flavor before the hops come to star. Citrusy, floral, resinous, and wood, this beer brings lots of those west coast originals to the party. A heavy dose of cascade is complimented by centennial, simcoe, and chinook. This pale ale feels like the late 90's/early 2000's in all the right ways.
