I had picked up this squirrel for The CANQuest (tm) during my last visit to BOS but it got shunted aside as have so many CANs. 8=( I am doing my d**nedest to winnow through the backlog as quickly as possible, especially with having off for Labor Day 2019.

From the CAN: "Bundled in each can are a few of our favorite things: friendship, sports, entrepreneurship, friendship and fun. We hope you enjoy Mighty Squirrel and have many mighty moments to celebrate. Cheers! [undersigned] Naveen & Henry"; "Profile[:] Refreshing Belgian-style wheat ale with orange and notes of kiwi and mango."

I did some in-CAN agitation before Crack!ing open the vent & beginning an aggro, heavy-handed Glug. The Squirrel responded by roaring up in furious CANger to form two-plus fingers of eggshell-white head with excellent retention. Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5). Nose had a faint perfuminess from its spices, but it smelled more to my liking than some that I have had in the style. You have to know when to stop with the spice rack! Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was more my speed - less intensely spicy & more fruity. They were calling it "kiwi and mango" but I was thinking more like CANteloupe. Either way, it did not have the intense spiciness that many evince & which ultimately do me in. Finish was dry as any beer involving spices should be expected to be, but it was pleasant and refreshing rather than simply gaspingly dry. Mmm. YMMV.

A: yellow/straw colored with 1 inch foam head. Hazy as is fitting with style.

A: Traditional belgian notes of coriander and orange peel, as well as hints of kiwi.

T: A delightful belgian white with a tart kiwi finish. Slight notes of passionfruit or mango?

M: A good medium body for this style.

O: This beer will make for an awesome boat/beach beer. Not to sweet with tart notes.

Had on tap. Pours clear, light yellow in color with 1/3 inch head. Taste is best described as vanilla wafer meets lemon Jello with the slightest hint of kiwi. Thick, chalky, and heavy bodied, moderate carbonation, and sweet. I can appreciate that the brewery is trying something new and innovative but for me this beer does not work. The body is just unpleasant and way too heavy. Taste seems a bit muddled as well. Could barely finish this one. Hard pass.

On-tap 3/16/2016 at British Beer Company in Walpole, MA, served in a nonic pint glass.

A: The beer is a light gold color, with a short white head that fades slowly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains kiwi, citrus, light caramelized malts, wheat and a faint touch of hops.

T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of kiwi and citrus fruits. Then some mild breadiness comes in from wheat, a little bit of Belgian yeast and a light malt character. The hops presence is very mild but brings some balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and a little smooth but a bit watery, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: A little tasty, goes down easily, not filling at all, mild kick, not the best representation of style, it’s a decent beer but there are several others in the style that are better.
