Pours a large frothy thick brown 1 finger head with med retention, messy lacing, jet black color

Nose big candy and almond paste, marzipan, candied sugar, toasted coconut, sweet vanilla, wafer cookie, little fruity and smooth alcohol, little cocoa

Taste big almond paste, sweet marzipan again, milk chocolate and fudge, mild smooth vanilla, into toasted coconut, med spicy hops, smooth alcohol, sweet candied sugar again, cookie dough and light baking spices, sticky sweet finish, little alcohol and spicy hops with med lower bitterness

Mouth is med to fuller bod, lighter foamy carb, light warming alcohol

Overall a bit too sweet and candy like for my taste, but not terrible.

Pours opaque, jet black in color with minimal head. I do get roasted malt and macaroons. Heavy body, low carbonation, sweet. Takes me back to my trip to Paris, eating macaroons in Montmatre. Good beer, great memories.

Pours jet black in color with a frothy head that quickly disappears in a clean way. Heavyish body, very low carbonation, and sweet. Mouth feel okay for the style, a low ABV Imperial. I liked it.

I know how pastry stouts have a negative connotation, but this one intrigues me quite a bit. I can’t say I’ve ever actually had a macaron, though I’ve had the desire to. There’s many different flavors of macarons, but from what I understand this one is just based on a standard vanilla one. Let’s see what it’s all about

Pours a very dark brown/black with 2 fingers of dark espresso colored head that quickly fades to a thin ring and leaves no lacing at all

Again, never had the pastry, but I’m not really getting any special notes in the nose. I’m picking up on aromas of roasty coffee, sweet whiskey, charred toast, coconut, chocolate fudge, and light vanilla. Really just seems more like a standard imperial stout than a sweet pastry stout

Well this is certainly much sweeter in taste, but it’s a kinda dry sweetness that doesn’t overstay its welcome. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting sweet vanilla, milk chocolate, lightly spicy whiskey, and light almond. The swallow brings notes of nutty cofee, earthy hops, dark chocolate, coconut, and an odd background note of general fruitiness

A medium full body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a smooth and slick beer. Finishes lightly sticky with a light spice

This one was hard to get a read on with how much it was shifting, but I quite enjoyed it
