Dark brown with no light passing. Short lived head which ends with no bubbles and no lacing.

Dry, almost cardboard like, initial impression. The smell is dark but not quite coffee like. Instead it’s like lightly burnt brown bread.

The taste brings more burnt malt. Dryer than the tiramisu moniker would indicate. I’m no fan of strong coffee, so this beer, devoid of coffee flavors, is pretty good to me. But it defies the expectations. The body is thinner than most imperial stouts but greater than a dry stout. There’s a mild sweetness to the finish but the burnt flavors ultimately win in the aftertaste.
