It seems there’s a myth in our industry surrounding IPAs. If it’s not hazy, then it’s not worth drinking. We don't believe that. We obviously have much love for the hazy New England IPA style, but we also love a beer so clear that even the tiniest bubbles are visible and seem to reveal something magical. So we’ve taken it upon ourselves to unhaze the beloved New England IPA with clear intentions. Unhazed is a clear New England IPA that, like its cloudier friends, blasts the senses with juicy goodness. El Dorado hops contribute bold notes of mango, clementine, and stone fruit. It’s a touch crisp, a touch light, and a touch playful, all while finishing super smooth

Mild haze with a gold, approaching dirty gold color. Modest head but there are a multitude of spots initially left on the upper part of the glass. Random spots thereafter.

Weedy, green smell of wet hops. Semisweet pale malt rounds out the aroma.

The start is a brief mildly sweet pale malt that quickly succumbs to light bitter hop spice. Full bodied with a subdued carbonation level. The finish and aftertaste is well balanced. Fits into the west coast profile.

Appearance – As the description and name suggest, the beer pours a clear golden-orange color with a one finger head of white foam with big bubbles. The head fades rather quickly after pouring, leaving a touch of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – the aroma is strong of a tropical fruit aroma of papaya and passionfruit mixed with notes of kiwi, guava, and mango. Along with these aromas comes some light breadiness and some oat, as well as hints of tangerine, lemon, and sour grapes.
Taste – The taste starts with a rather bready and oat forward malt flavor mixed with some of the tropical fruits of papaya, mango, and guava that were in the nose. Along with these flavors comes some herbal and grapefruit hop as well as some notes of crème and dough. As the taste advances the sweetness fades a touch, but the malt gets stronger, taking a more central role. Toward the end the hop gets a bit more raw in nature, and with the rest of the flavor transitions, one is left with a slightly more malty and moderately sweet and hopped taste to linger.
Mouthfeel – The body is rather thick and chewy with a mild to average carbonation level.
Overall – Not really a huge fan. Too thick for the abv, although, I do suppose it sorta fits the NEIPA style in that respects. If you like NEIPAs a bunch this may work for you, although, it may be a bit more subdued then most NEIPAs.
