Pours a clear reddish brown color with a 1/2F head and light lacing.
Smells of malt, yeast and like it was aged in a wine barrel.
Tastes of raisins, plums and other dark sweet fruit with a cinnamony spicy and boozy warm finish.
Medium body with light carbonation. Lightly syrupy mouthfeel.
This is a nice strong sipper that is a bit lighter than most but true to the style.
A nice celebratory issue. Glad I got a 4 pack so I can age a couple.
