Brown color where light only passes along the edge of the glass. Decent starting head which settles quickly to rim bubbles. It leaves a few streaks for lace.
The smell features licorice and lavender notes. No coffee nor dark chocolate to the nose. Intriguing.
The taste extends the licorice smell but this time with some Baker's chocolate. Thin for the style with ample carbonation. The finish is more licorice, leaving a dry and shorter finish. There is a brief burst of cocoa toward the end of the aftertaste.
