32 ounce crowler, filled on 8/10/2020. Served in a St. Bernardus chalice, the beer pours a murky burnt orange/copper color with about a half inch light tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like candi sugar, dark fruit (raisins), caramel and clove. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's the addition of some peppery spice and brown sugar flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit creamy with a good amount of carbonation. Easy enough to drink. I thought it was an enjoyable enough brew, worth a try if you get the chance to.

From the growler via Jungle Jim's Eastgate in a snifter. This nice brew
pours a muddled deep amber with a decent head of off white foam that
settles to a thick ring, thin light layer, and sports some subtle lacing.
Nose of light cinnamon and ginger with some candy Belgian candy sugar
in there. Flavors surpass the nose with a subtle pepper note amongst
candy sugar and mild cinnamon with a light touch of ginger and
brown sugars. Nice mouth feel; medium body, smooth, light carbonation
that gives subtle lift, and a lightly sweet finish.
Overall, a solid brew that verges on a Belgian quad.
