From the growler via Growler Stop in Newtown in a snifter. This excellent
Baltic pours a dark blackish brown with a nice head of khaki foam that settles
to a thick ring, thin subtle film, and sport some nice lacing. Nose of dark ocffee,
dark chocolate, moderate char, deep roast, and subtle berry hints amongst touches
of toffee. Flavors hit the mark with dark coffee, dark cocoa, dark berry notes
of blackberry and raspberry, balanced char with a touch of brulee, and zesty
hops on the rear of the taste. Mouth feel is full, smooth, moderately coating,
rich, medium light leaning towards light carbonation, and a bitter malt finish.
Overall, another perfectly balanced brew from a brewery more known for their
sour offerings. That said, when they do a BIG brew such as this, they always
hit their mark!
Excellent!
Cheers

I tried this beer off the tapper at The Daily Growler in Powell, Ohio as part of a six sample flight. It poured an opaque dark with ecru head that left some lace. The scent had roast and Baltic notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with dark roasty chocolate malt with common Baltic highlights. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.
