Lay & Love is a blend of foeder & wine barrel-aged sour red & blonde ales, with an average age of 2.5 years. The most recent batch (Batch B105) was refermented on whole blackberries at a rate of 3 pounds per gallon, and bottle conditioned. The blackberries came from “The Berry Farm” in Richwood, Ohio. A lot of hard work, patience, and love went into this beer. We offer it to you with a humble gratitude for your friendship and for your appreciation of our craft.

500 ml bottle, Batch B105, bottled 01/12/22. Served in a Little Fish Teku, the beer pours an amber/purple color with not quite an inch light pink head that stuck around a little bit. Decent amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like blackberries, red grapes/wine, oak, funk and some vanilla. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some lemony citrus and plum flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. Good amount of tartness in the brew, recommended to anyone who likes blackberries and/or sour ales!
