Bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout with cacao and vanilla.
Cacao is revered in New World indiginous cultures as a religious symbol, and by some accounts, a powerful aphrodisiac. Chocolate Fetish is an homage to the power of this sacred plant: a deluxe & desserty variation of Bourbon Barrel Batch 300, an imperial stout that we aged 11 months in Middle West Spirits Wheated Bourbon barrels. Further conditioned on pure cacao and vanilla. Warning: Drinking Chocolate Fetish may result in a state of aroused spiritual awareness!

22 oz bottle, born on 6/15/21, poured into a snifter at 55 degrees F:
L - dark and oily with a hazelnut head that lingered around the edges of the glass
S - bourbon, cocoa, chocolate
T - follows the nose, great blend of flavors, chocolate flavor is like bakers chocolate
F - thick mouthfeel with minimal carbonation
O - superb beer, flavors blend magnificently with a dry cocoa finish

From the bomber in a snifter. This monster pours a
rich coal black with a nice head of khaki foam that fades
to a thick ring, thin light layer, and sports some very nice lacing.
Nose of sweet cocoa, rich vanilla, mellow bourbon, subtle oak,
dark brown sugars, and fain t dark coffee. Flavors hit the mark!
Dark cocoa, sweet vanilla, bourbon, oak, dark coffee, dark fruits,
and some marshmallow cream hints. Nice mouth feel; full body,
smooth, rich, coating, light carbonation that is enough for some
lift, and a bitter malt and warming booze finish that is lightly dry.
Overall---EXCELLENCE!

22 ounce bottle, Batch B086, bottled on 7/14/20. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch tan head that fizzled away quickly. Not much lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, roasted malt and some dark fruit. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some oak, dark bread and caramel flavors also noticeable. Also, it's more of a dark chocolate flavor than a milk chocolate one. There's a lot of barrel character in both the aroma and taste. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's creamy, coating and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. It's boozy, but not overpoweringly so. I thought this was a pretty good barrel aged stout, definitely recommend it those who like a good amount of barrel in their barrel aged brews!
