This sour brown ale was aged 22 months in used French oak wine barrels & neutral American oak bourbon barrels, and refermented on raw buckwheat honey, which adds an earthy, caramelly flavor and mouthfeel.

16.9 ounce bottle, Batch B067, bottled 7/1/19. Served in a Little Fish Teku, the beer pours a slightly hazy reddish/brown color with about an inch light tan head that stayed around a while. Good amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like oak, cherry, grapes, vanilla, honey, caramel and earthiness. Taste is similar to the aroma, with red grape, earthy, oak, vinegary and caramel flavors noticeable. Lots more tartness in the taste as compared to the aroma. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought it was an enjoyable sour ale, worth a try if you come across some.
