Tasted from the tap at the Little Fish taproom in downtown Dayton, OH.
Almost pitch black, but seemingly clear despite its opacity. Strong malt and aging aromas of brown sugar and caramel. Flavors match the aromas, with just a hint of burnt grain and light, fruity alcohol. Medium to thick body and moderate sweetness. Low carbonation and apparent hops bitterness. Strong alcohol warmth, but not overly boozy.
This is a good barrel-aged stout, but a bit sweet even for a fan of the style like me
