Consumed at Bennedito's Pizza on Spokane's South Hill for $4.50. This is named for the longtime Sprague Avenue watering hole that is located near where this beer is brewed. I suspect it will be a regular brew distributed there, since Budge Bros. is apparently withdrawing from supplying the Checkerboard (or anyone else) with kegs of their beer.
Served in a Guinness glass, this was a hazy orange-amber color. The bartender served it filled to the brim, so there was no head to view. She said she viewed it as much as an IPA as a pale ale. While not quite hopped to that standard (40 IBUs per the local newspaper's beer guy, Rick Bonino), after drinking it I could see her point.
Quite hoppy in the aroma. Definitely a "West-Coast Pale Ale."
Citrusy and piney, fairly robust for a pale ale, but it finished fairly cleanly and had the drinkability of a pale ale. I had somewhere I had to be, so I only had one with my lunch, but I could see myself happily having several. First Bennedito's beer and I'm impressed.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
