An outbreak of passion fruit, pineapple, & red grapefruit emanates from our infectious double-dry hopped DIPA. Finishes with a touch of dank and a malty backbone for added complexity.

Had this at the Bistro's 22nd annual dipa fest. #61 on the list. Nice.
Pours an amber color. Its not even a light amber. Bring on the maltiness. Almost tan colored head 1/3". This could be a hoppy barleywine for all I know based on its appearance. The aroma commercial tug job boasts of double dry hopping, but I got more caramel than hops. Was still nice in a slightly comparable to SNPA's maltiness, but that is about as nice as I can be about it.
The taste continues to be malt and bitterness forward. Drizzle that caramel on the grapefruit some more. Not really on board with all the dank and passion fruit descriptors. Its more like that familiar rind n pine combo, dunked into a vat of caramel and toffee. Sticky. Didn't really cover the booziness all that much. Seemed more old school in its approach.
This one didn't impress me at the festival. Didn't have any off flavors, but just was below average with the other 104 kegs out there.

Can pour- clear golden/orange color with thick white foamy head leaving significant lacing. Nose is citrusy and piney. Taste follows with some sweet malt and resin. Mild bitterness lingers on the finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a bright orange with a few bubbles. Smells of citrusy hops. Light feel. Taste has a hint of malt, and then is dominated by piney hops. A beer for a hop lover.
