Poured from a 22oz Bottle into a miniature snifter.
Look: Nice dark black color, minimal light escapes, off-white thick head, with decent lacing on the side of the glass. Looks like a porter.
Smell: Roasted malt, slight floral hop. Not a very pungent nose, wish it had more going on in this department.
Taste: Dark malts, roasted coffee, and dark bitter chocolate. Minimal hop flavor and a very present sense of the style I am drinking, this is a porter, nothing more nothing less.
Feel: Mouthfeel is medium/heavy with a nice roasted flavor left on my palate.
Overall: I'd say they hit the style mark on the head, very interested to see what else this brewery puts out. And for the price, it's hard to argue against.
