16 oz can from Donald, canned on 11/15/2019, "Epstein Didn't Kill Himself" haha.
Ommegang snifter.
Glowing rusty red-brown with a creamy off-white colored cap of 2 fingers, receding to 1, with lots of spotty lacing.
Aroma is of spicy rye grain, copper pennies, slight dark fruits, and very slight citrus.
Flavor is vinous, bringing dark grape to the front, with hints of raisin, red malt, lime, and finally lemon peel. Spicy rye malt here but doesn't particularly mix or is it overly spicy, it just sticks out. Finish of blood orange and dark fruits.
Feel is very clinging and has a good amount of carbonation. It dries on the palate like a champ. Moderate warmth.
Overall a moderately enjoyable Red Rye beer that really lays heavy on the dark fruit. Real easy to finish though and really makes itself at home halfway through the can. It gets comfortable fast.
