I had this beer on-tap in a clear plastic solo cup at the brewery's taproom in Enumclaw.
Appearance: dark brown, almost black hue with a finger of frothy tan foam with a nice lace on the cup.
Smell: sweet aroma with a fruitiness and kind of caramelly aroma. It's not necessarily bad, just kind of odd in a porter.
Taste: sweet and rather fruity. Kind of unusual - flavor more like a malty red ale or something. Not bad, really, but not a very classic porter.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good, well integrated carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: kind of an odd duck, this beer. I'm not sure it's really for me, but I could see it finding an audience.
