2017 750ml bottle. 6 years old. 9% abv. Gifted to me by Victory_Sabre1973
Look: Brown slightly murky body. Dark amber body under the beer light. Plenty of beer light doesn't pass threw. A decent head for a old bottle. short but very persistent. Leaving some nice fine lacing.
Smell: very good. Smells like a non barrel age barley wine does at first. But as it warms it smells more like Dopplebock and you get dark bread, spice, caramel and a hint of booze.
Taste: Somewhat follows the nose. You get some stone washed dark fruit. Almost like a hint of cinnamon spice too.
It tastes good, some complexity there. Not overly sweet. Smooth.
Feel: good, not real thick or syrupy but not thin, Also has a soft & creamy feel.
I like this one. The bottle has held up very well. 4.22/5
